Beschrijving
Begijnhof. Gesticht plm 1270 en in 1535 van het kasteelplein naar deze plaats overgebracht. Toegankelijk door een moderne poort (een voorafgaande klassicistische uit 1830 is in 1954 gesloopt) en bestaande uit een hof (met pompen) omzoomd door lage huisjes (merendeels 17e eeuws, gewijzigd in de 18e eeuw) en een tweede binnenplaatsje met huisjes uit 1860. Aan de zijde tegenover de poort de kapel, 1836-'37, door A. van der Aa, in Waterstaatsstijl. Eenklaviers orgel, in 1838 gemaakt door A. Derksen van Angeren. Daarnaast de pastorie (1850).

Groot huis, oorspronkelijk bestaande uit twee vleugels met voorhof, kort na 1848 uitgebouwd, maar nog in grote delen teruggaand tot de 15e eeuw. Kelders met tongewelven, ongewelfde kelderkeuken met zandstenen wangstukken van gotisch schouw.
